This is what I've found so far for Dec. 24, 2005 Eastern Magic Cat. 6 for three adults and one 13 yo:

DCL $7829.40

MouseEarsVacations $7829.40

DU $7829 with a $200 rebate upon final payment

AllSeas $7729

mycruisevalue.com $7052.91

This is without air, transfers, and insurance.

I want to go with mycruisevalue.com, but have never heard of them from Disers before. Please help me make a decision before the rooms are gone!

Discount TAs work in one of 2 ways. THey either buy up a bunch of cabins from DCL and sell to the public at a discount or they give you part of their commission back as a discount. DCL pays the TA about 10% commission....my suggestion if in doubt is to book thru DCL. You can always choose to transfer your ressie to a discount TA later and get their rebate or deal as well as any you might be getting thru DCL.

Check mousesavers.com as well as current TA sites to see if you can locate any kind of on-board credit offers. You can almost always find some way to qualify for $50. If you transfer to DU or cruisetraveloutlet.com, you will keep any DCL stateroom credit as well as qualifying for the agent's discount or rebate.

I booked my Disney Cruise with them. Let me warn you!!!!!!
1st, I booked with an actual agent (paid a little bit more) so I could deal with a live person rather than just e-mailing. My agent knows absolutly nothing about Disney or their Cruise Line!!! Not only this, but when I called my specific TA to get information about transfers she told me the request would be sent to another department and they would get back to me in a few days. Every time I called to get info, it was as if I was bothering her. Also, they require payment in full 90 days prior to sailing, not 60 days. Also, if you cancel after booking they charge you $75.00 per person to cancel. I would NOT under any circumstances recommend these people!!!!!!!!! PM me if you have any other questions about them. Yes, their prices are the lowest, but their customer service stinks!!!!!

If you belong to Costco, I would book with DCL and then transfer ressie to Costco. They give you 10% off the cost of your ressie. The only thing is final payment is due 75 days before as opposed to 60. Still worth the discount!

So if my cruise is $7800, Costco will save me $780??? Wow! I can't wait until tomorrow to call them, since they're not open on weekends.

I have always used costco to save. YOu have to be on hold a long time, but its worth it.

I was not able to use them when I booked onboard, because disney gave the 10% savings, and costco would match the price so it was silly to transfer it.

I can recommend costco, I have booked 4 or more cruises with them and everything always went off without a hitch, No problems at all, and usually a very helpful service person on the other end. a

They are not a travel agent. Costco is providing you with a booking service for a smaller comission to them. You will be on you own for all of your other planning and need to do your own research. However just the fact that you are here on the disboards tells me you are probably on top of that already!!

Good Luck!!

I booked my cruise through Costco and have been very pleased with their service so far. If you call 1st thing in the morning (right at 10:00EST) their hold times are not bad (5 minutes). If you call later it can be over 30 minutes.
Their price was the best.

Aisling -

Welcome to the 24 December 2005 cruise!! There are several DIS families who will be aboard the Magic for that cruise. I am a devoted Dreams Unlimited customer and am so happy with their service. We were able to rebook onboard during our 2003 Christmas Cruise and received a great on-board booking discount and the DU rebate.

I am not sure if you have cruised before but we are happy to help with any cruise questions. Take care -
