I hope this post is allowed, but wanted to ask any Travel Agents about the TA Park Pass and how you are able to obtain FastPasses in advance with one. Is this possible?
In the past I ask the person that helps me when I pick up my tickets at the park, they can usually add me to the fast passes I have set for the rest of the family. But this last time in September, he couldn't get me on the Frozen ride with the rest of the fam and told me I would have to go ask their desk at Epcot and they could help me. Another one happened like that at AK. I was at MK when I picked my tix up and he couldn't get me on 7DMT for two of the fast passes I had (for two separate days), but he gave me two general ones to use how I wanted. The hard part was changing fast passes around, etc. bc it made things more complicated. Sometimes I ask myself if it's worth it because I really would prefer having everything planned out perfectly ahead of time. We just planned a last minute trip for in a few weeks and I just got our tix together and didn't do the travel agent tix, figured I would do that for our next trip. Let me know if you have any questions, I am kind of rambling.
My experience has been very similar to @jenniferg13's. First of all there isn't any way to make FP's ahead of time when using a TA ticket. You pick up your ticket at Guest Services at any park or DS and then they *usually* can link you to the FP's the rest of your party has, unless you're talking the real popular rides such as Frozen, FOP, 7DMT. Then they usually tell you to go to GS at the park corresponding to the ride you want and ask there. It's worked for me however I know others that get a hard "no" and just proceed to another park GS and have no problem. Of course you then need to have the time to do that, so I suggest going to get your ticket the night before you actually want to use it in case you want to try another park after your first one.
YES, what @ariane37 said! I just remembered now that you mentioned it, it was the new pandora ride that they couldn't get me on as well. So you have to go to each GS window at each park for those hard ones and that takes SO much time! I do always pick up my tickets the day before, which is work in itself, but better than being delayed getting into the park. But this last time in September took us forever waiting in line and it was SO HOT and we were there for an hour waiting in line then waiting for him to do my fast passes. The trip before I remember being a lot easier though. I wish there was an easier way!
An easier way is to have a regular ticket that will be saved and used for a future trip linked to the TA Profile.
Book all FPs as a group and when the TA tickets are picked up and linked to MDX, reassign the regular ticket away from the TA Profile. Have a ticket saver/fake profile set up to “hold” the ticket for a future trip for one of the family members.
