We are looking to book a cruise next summer, it's been a couple years since we booked a cruise and in the past I've booked through a travel agent and directly through DCL direct. Just wondering from those more experienced cruisers and my especially thrifty budget boarders - if it's better now to book through DCL directly or to go through a TA for the best deal? Thought? Let me know! Thanks!

IMHO, the only benefit you get from using a travel agent would be OBC. The actually price of the cruise doesn't vary, but the TA offers might. I've done direst with Disney, Costco and AAA. I have a RCCL cruise booked with an online agent that I get NO service from, not even a reminder regarding my final payment. So, even if you use a TA, do your own homework too.
