TA and Pins

Ok, this may have been asked but:

Everyone is calling WDW to see if there is a pin code attached to their name. For those that are lucky enough to have one, if you are booking/have booked through a TA, can you still call and get the pin code attached to your name to give to your TA or does it have to be booked through WDW if you call them to look for a pin code?

You can use your pin code and your favorite TA :)

All you need to do is if you have a pin let your TA know what it is and also if you call and check you can just get the number and give it to your TA.

Also, TAs can call and ask if there is a pin in a client's name. All they need is your last name and your mailing address and they can check on it.

I don't know how true that is. I booked my vacation through liberty travel then received a pin for 22% off my package and my TA could not apply it. When I called Disney they told me that I had to book it through them. I had to cancel it with my TA and book through Disney.

You were given the wrong information! and...your TA should have been able to apply it.
 

I've never heard of a TA not being able to apply a pin. Someone gave you some bad information. It's a pain (time wise) to apply a pin, so if you can have someone else do it, by all means, let them.
 
TA's can definately apply PIN's and any discounts that come up to your reservation - in fact a really good TA will watch for any discounts that come up for your trip and apply them. :)
Actually - if you get a PIN code and already have a reservation booked with a TA, they are the only ones that can apply it to your existing reservation.

The only explanation I can think of is perhaps you already had some sort of discount booked through your TA and they couldn't add the additional 22% off to your reservation. :confused3 - In that case a good TA would run the numbers and see which discount saved you more and then adjust your reservation accordingly. :)
