Thursday 22nd November Thanksgiving
I woke up and got up at 4.45 and Theresa followed about an hour later. We went out to the only shop we knew would be open at that time of day, Wal Mart. Even though it was early there was still quiet a few people in there getting their Thanksgiving turkey trimmings. We tried to get breakfast at the Golden Corral but it was shut so we went into the Denny’s next door. We both had the Heartland scramble which was eggs, potatoes , peppers, onions & cheese scrambled together plus bacon , sausage , hash browns and a pile of three pancakes on the side with maple syrup. Yummy and only $17 + tip.
After breakfast we went to Downtown Disney and bought loads of presents for us
and a few bits and pieces for Joh.
After covering the whole of Downtown from one end to the other and back again we went back to the hotel for a rest before going to the Poly for our ADR at Ohanas.
We asked for a table by the window and got one , one row away but at least we had a really good view of the castle from there.
As it was Thanksgiving the menu was a set special Thanksgiving selection ( see Theresa’s food report ).
After the meal we walked down to the beach and I got a few pictures of the electric water pageant and the fireworks.
It was a great end to a really lovely day.
