The Crew
Tony ……………….Driver and general gofer
Theresa…………….Scrapbook shopper extraordinaire
Peggy (my mum)…..I’ll go on anything as long as it’s not upside down or do big drops .
Zena (my aunt)…….Ditto
MGM Today or Hollywood Studios as it’s now called.
Another hot day but the cooling breeze made it very pleasant to be out and about.
We arrived about 9 a.m. and the wait times weren’t too bad. We showed Mum and Zena TOT and RnR and they went pale.
We did all the other rides and most of the shows. We didn’t do Toy Story Mania, which we could have done as annual pass holders, as it was having technical difficulties.
We had lunch at ABC Commissary; Curry for me, Mum and Zena and Theresa had a kids meal of cheese and ham wraps, fries, a chocolate chip cookie and an apple juice for $4.49 which she said was easily enough for her.
I think Mum and Zena’s favourite thing during the day was the Beauty and the Beast show which I must admit to also being mine.
We had an ADR for 6.05p.m. at 50’s Prime Time and we really enjoyed this. Zena went off to the loo as soon as we went in and when she returned our server, Aunt Ellen, asked if she had asked to be excused and also checked she had used the soap by asking what colour it was. The bill for the two of us was $74 inc tip, we normally asked for one bill but as we couldn’t use the DDE as it was Mothering Sunday there wasn’t any point.
After the meal we went to get our seats for Fantasmic. We were half way up right in the middle. The ladies loved it and the show has changed since we last saw it. The dragon has got bigger but doesn’t chase Mickey around anymore.
After the show we went back to the condo and had a cup of tea before bed.
