Of course I am doing this last minute like I do everything, but I happened to be at the Disney store yesterday and saw the cutest shirts for the boys in our group to wear at Disney. They didn't have all the right sizes, so I got different ones, therefore had to buy for the girls too (we have 3 boys, ages 3, 4, 5 and 3 girls, ages 18 mos, 7, 11). I found out late last night that the girl's sizes are incorrect and I can't get them matching shirts because they are in different size groups (infant, girls and womens), so I thought I would try to make my own.

I saw the idea for the Mickey heads with the flour and fabric spray paint, but am wondering if anyone has any ideas for an iron-on of some sort. I am fairly computer savvy and would like to make something with "my first trip" for my neices and nephews- personalized, but not with names. I looked at zazzle, but they didn't have any sayings I wanted. Where can I find good quality pics that will print well so I can make an iron on?

Thanks in advance- other ideas besides iron-ons welcome too! I am desperate and now that I have the idea, I have to make it happen in less than a week!!

We made T-shirts for 2 of our trips. There is a very helpful thread on this, but I don't remember where. Maybe a search? I will try to find it and post a link. triplefigs made some cute patterns and I printed them on transfer paper for one of our shirts.

What I did was go to Google and search for Mickey Mouse. Then click on the Images button and got a whole bunch of hits. Some of the sites that come up have all types of good quality Disney images. I also did a Google search for Disney Font and came up with the Walt Disney signature looking font, which I used in making the shirts.

Keep one very important thing in mind, the iron ons some times get ruined when you're making the shirts. Don't expect perfection the first time around. I purchased shirts really cheap (a couple of dollars each) at AC Moore craft store, I made sure to get extras so I wouldn't run out when I messed up. Also, the ink can some times run in the wash, we had one that ran.

I was about to send to to the Creative DISigns Board too but y'all beat me to it! :teeth:

There are lots of DDAers (Disney Design Addicts) that will be happy to help you out over there! :thumbsup2
