Great tip! We are also planning to do Rainforest and Yak and Yeti.Better yet if you have time before your trip go to Landrysinc webpage and signup for the Landry's Select club. It usually takes about 10 days to get your card in the mail.
Pay a one-time $25 enrollment fee, and receive a $25 welcome reward you can use on your first visit. You also get a $25 Birthday Reward every year on your birthday and a $25 Reward for Every $250 you spend. Here is the best part. You get what they call Priority Seating. This gets you in any time without a reservation, usually within 10 minutes no matter how busy they are. We have this card and it's great. It also works at both the Rain Forest Cafes and Yak & Yeti in AK. The last time we went to T-REX was on a Friday night and we did not have reservations. I overheard the hostess tell the group in front of me that it would be a 2 hour wait to get in without a reservation. When i got up to the hostess i showed her my Landry's Select card and we were sitting at a table 5 minutes later. Like i said it works at all 4 Landry's restaurants in Disney and if you are going anyway you will get your initial investment of $25 back. The Priority Seating alone is worth getting the card.

Yes, anyone with or without the dining plan can call the restaurant and make a reservation directly. Just remember to cancel the one you made via the Disney dining reservation site.I hope it's ok to ask a question within the question of the thread, but if you book through Disney on the dining plan, could you call direct to switch to an earlier time that wasn't available online and still use the ding plan?
