We can't get a reservation at T-Rex in Downtown for when we are there. Has anyone just showed up and been able to get in for dinner?

We only tried once and was told it would be at least a 2 hour wait so we didn't stay (it was already fairly late in the evening - I knew my kids wouldn't last 2 more hours).

I called the T Rex directly on Sunday and was able to get a reservation for May 23rd. I don't have the # but you can look it up on their website and call them directly.

They only release a certain amount of tables through Disney, so if you call directly you will have no problem getting in.

Thank you so much for the tip to call the restaurant directly. I have been checking online obsessively for the date we want and it has been showing up as unavailable. I just called and got the reservation. We are planning to go for lunch on the way home back to the airport from Port Canaveral after our cruise.

We walked up at dinner opening...like maybe 4:45....and we had no problem getting in right away. We had tried to book it and were unable to but we were in the DD area so we figured we would try and it was well worth it.

We actually also walked up at opening at Ohana's and got in within about 30 minutes.

We did a walk up for Le Cellier at lunch too. NO WAIT.

Do I have to wait until my 180 day mark to call a reservation or does that only apply to online ressies for T-Rex? Can I call now even though I am at 185 days?

TREX will take you ressie now 180 days is only for Disney Dining Plan restaurants TREX is not on the Free disney Dining Plan or The Dining Plan at all even if you paid they except that Dining Card whatever it is not really sure but I know Trex and Rainforest Cafe are NOT on the DINING PLAN just an FYI in case you didn't know or were mis lead by it coming up on the on line ressie system
