T-Rex

It's really interesting inside. Busy and hectic. The food is not that good and of course over priced. I would walk thru just to look but eat elsewhere.

The fish tacos at T-Rex weren't bad (non-battered version). It was very bust and, as someone else said, chaotic.

I have heard very good things about the Earl of Sandwich, although it is not table service.

Have been twice, and I prefer the food to that of Rainforest Cafe. I think it is worth going at least once for the experience.. the very loud experience.

The ribs were fall off the bone, melt in your mouth good. The burgers are, well, burgers. They were huge. We loved it. I think it is on the list for our next trip.

Is extremely loud in the T-Rex restaurant? I want to take my nephews there in October, but the youngest one has very sensitive ears.

We liked it a lot better than Rainforest Cafe. I think it's a fun place to go! It isn't Too too loud. My youngest can freak out with the best of them if things get too loud for him, but he was just fine in there - loved it actually!

When people mention TRex is chaotic, what they mean is CHAOTIC--gosh awful loud with pulsating lights in some areas. Whooo-hooo....about as relaxing as a colonic!::scared1:

We liked T-Rex! Yes, it's very loud and chaotic, but especially in the front of the restaurant. The back room is much better, less noisy and you still get the meteor shower etc.
The portions are HUGE, so be prepared to share or have leftovers for a week! My Mom and DH got the chicken sandwich in the fried pizza dough, they really liked it and said next time they would share and just get one, they had so much food left over! I had the Triasic Tuna appy as my entree, it was delicious! I also shared my daughter's pasta and it was also very good!
Here's a few pictures that I have from last year!

Triasic Tuna - YUM, I could eat this right now!

DD6's pizza, DD2 had pasta but I didn't take a picture. It was good buttered pasta with a nice garlic toast.

My sister and parents took my kids to TRex for dinner while DH and I went out for the evening. DS loved it (loved the atmosphere and his chicken). The adults hated it.... felt the room (the "ice room") was loud and the lighting was annoying. My parents said they didn't even know what meat they were eating because the lighting was so bad.

We just got back from a trip and ate their for the first time. Our kids are 3 and 5 and I knew they would love it which they did. With that said - the food was just ok, it was horrendously loud (way more then any other place we've eaten) as well as really crazy in there - hard to walk around and even look at the decor. The picture op places like the triceratops constantly had people around it so we never go a chance to get the kids picture and thank goodness we didn't have a table near there or it would have been terrible. With the tip - ordering 4 dinners - two being off the kids menu it cost us $70 and then of course another $50 for DD's build-a-dino which we had promised her and DS picked $20 worth of souvenirs himself. It was an expensive night and both DH and I said we won't be going there again.

So, despite all that - it is a very cool looking restaurant and I don't regret going and the kids did love it. I'd go once to at least experience it but be prepared to spend some money!!

I was there on 12/10 and I thought it was the worst meal of our entire trip. Just nothing special about what anyone had. At most of the places we ate at least one person had a memorable meal, but no not here!
