T Rex? Worth the $$$?

We have an ADR for the wkend before we check into WDW so I will be paying out of pocket, we didnt care all that much for the food at Rainforest but my family really wants to try TRex, would you say the food is better at TRex? What would you recommend? Any pics? TIA!

I do like RF, but I have also been to TRex, and like their food better. If you happen to like lasagna, trex had the best. It's kind of loud in there, some say little kids could get scared (my kids aren't little anymore, and trex wouldn't have scared them when they were little! i think kids are just more sensitive nowadays!) The price range is the same- more than you'd like to pay, but i think they are worth it. they have a kids menu, like RF.

Yes it is worth the money. We were a party of 6 there the end of June and had a great time. I do suggest you make an ADR. The line was very long but we were seated quickly as most people were walk ups.

I wasn't impressed with Rainforest @ AK at all. T-Rex, I LOVED. The food was leaps and abounds better than Rainforest and dinosaurs...c'mon, who doesn't love DINOSAURS! The meteor shower in there is awesome.

It's definitely worth the money to go to T-Rex. It is noisy though even when they first open. DH and I went and had a blast. That donut dessert was so good. Fresh chocolate and vanilla donut holes with chocolate and caramel dipping sauce. There were so many of them I had to stop eating before I burst. The portions are HUGE. I've never seen a restaurant that gives you so much food. DH and I split the appetizer sampler and the donut dessert (they call them meteors) and were stuffed. We can't wait to go back.

IMO everything is the same as Rain Forest Cafe except the decor. Same bad food and service.

We LOVED TRex last November. It had relatively just opened and was one of the highlights of our trip! My 18mos. old daughter was not afraid of anything what so ever and the food was delicious!!! We were stuffed! The atmosphere was awesome for kids and the desserts were soooo good!!! I had the donut holes as pp did and the two older kids split this GIGANTIC 4 slice of cake, ice cream, smoking lava desert...they could not finish it...but their faces when it came out were worth every single penny we spent there!!! Honestly....LOVED IT!

We also went last November not long after it had opened. We LOVED it. The kids were in awe, and the food was really good. The mushroom ravioli was so good!
