T-Rex super hard to get! Will Landry's card help?

I had read T-Rex was a more difficult reservation, but was skeptical since it's pretty easy to reservations for Rainforest. I've never considered going to T-Rex on numerous trips before now, because it has rather sketchy reviews, but my grandson wanted to go. So I'm up at 6am on the computer this morning and an 8pm dinner reservation was the only thing available! That's kind of late for us to eat dinner, however, I do have a Landry's Select card. Could this get us in earlier? It's gotten us into Rainforest and Yak 'N Yeti without reservations before, but those places did not appear crowded at that time. So are ressies always this hard to get at T-Rex on a Saturday night in June? And experience with a Landry's Select card when restaurants are booked solid?
A Landry’s card will get you in within 10-15min. We’ve never had a problem even with a line out the door. We’ve usually been seated within 5-10 at most.

No, the number of people with Landry’s cards is relatively small, so it’s unlikely you’ll wait extra time to be seated. I think T-Rex and Rainforest take a lot of walk-ups, who are the people who wait a very long time.

OTOH, why not get your own Landry’s card? Then you don’t have to worry about it!
Because if I end up not eating there for whatever reason, I'll either stress out about making time for another of their restaurants during the trip or stress out about throwing that $25 away by not using the welcome bonus. "Decide whether to keep T-REX reservation" has been on my end-of-prep to-do list for the last two weeks and I've honestly gone back and forth on it several times already. If I just have the reservation I can change my mind up to the day before. If I invest $25 in the card, I'm locked in.

Right now I am leaning toward getting the card, because I'm pretty settled on wanting to do Disney Springs and T-REX on arrival night and it would be nice to be able to just roll up to the door whenever I naturally get there. It's just not a given that it's the right fit for me.

Understood!

Check out the website - Landry’s operates a huge number and variety of restaurants, and if there are any near your home, the card works there too.

Honestly, I was about to come back and delete that post because I think I was being a bit whiny--it's really not a big deal and I've gotten good advice here re: the card (never would have known about it if it weren't for this board). Unfortunately we don't have any Landry's near us, but I think I'm probably overthinking this regardless since Yak & Yeti is also on my maybe list (I'm just not sure I'll have time for table service at Animal Kingdom).

We go to WDW 1-4 times a year. We do not always eat at a Landry’s when we go. We also have no Landry’s within a 100 mile radius. But even with all that I still find tremendous value in the card. We used my birthday month for the sign up which tends to be a month we typically go to Disney. The $25 off a bill each year during my birthday month, no wait, and no need to book ADR is well worth the initial $ for us.
