T-Rex Question: Gift card

Does T-Rex accept Rainforest Cafe gift cards? I know they are both Landry's restaurants, but I read some time ago that T-Rex was not accepting Rainforest cards.

I read just a few days ago that you CAN use them at T-Rex...I have one I plan to use in October. I'll see if I can figure out where I read that and post the link for you.

That's exactly what I'm doing with mine! I'm almost able to get the $50 Landry's card...plus I got a $25 card from Discover using my cash back rewards!

DH and I are calling this our "almost free" trip. I got the Monster Code for the Poly, I am combining a bunch of AAA rewards and a Visa gift card from a rebate to buy our plane tickets, I have two 4-day non-expiring hoppers...still looking for more ways to go "free" LOL!

Wow you're on a roll!! I got a 35% PIN for a moderate so we're staying at CSR...and after I cash in my MyPoints, I'll have $75 in gift cards to use at either T-Rex or Yak & Yeti... I'm waiting for the military discounts to come out! I'm hoping to save another 5% on the room and maybe some money on our park tickets!

Not sure about other discounts (though I highly doubt it), but the food was amazing! The biggest portion of Quesadillas I've even been served in my life. My boyfriend had either Chicken Fried Steak or Chicken Fried Chicken (not sure which) and it was hanging off the plate it was so big. Everything was literally perfect and our server was so on top of things that my BF didn't even notice her refilling his soda glass.

Are there any other discounts for dining at T-Rex and how is the food?

Last year we used a $10 off coupon (it was on their website)and a $50 Landry's Gift Card. Not sure if they will have any coupons for your timeframe. We did just use a .99 kids meal for each adult entree and 20% off merchandise in the gift shop last Sat night at Rainforest. If you google Rainforest or TRex coupons you may be able to find something.

ETA: You can use the Landry's gift cards at Rainforest (at both AK and DTD), TRex and the Yak N Yeti (TS only).

How busy is T-Rex. We are driving down July 17 and staying the night before we check in AKL. The Hotel is right by DTD and I and my DD will either go to Boston Lobster Fest or T-Rex. I need to know if I need to make resses or not for T-Rex. We have never been to T-REX but this is a DF and DD trip. Thanks

I would definitely try to make a ressie, if you can still can get one. I'm trying to change the time on my ressie for October and there's nothing available.

Did you call them direct? I seem to have much better luck that way.

Definitely call the restuarant directly for adr, the only offer a limited amount of seating to Disney dining. Even though you should be able to use Rainforest gift card , you can order a Landry's gift card from mypoints which are for any of the their restuarants. I hear T-rex takes the kids meal coupon and they always accept the safari club card for free app. or 10%. There are coupons for .99 kids meals at rainforest cafe.com under kidszone just print a rewards calendar.

Same here....I have a $25 :Landrys GC someone gave me! Then I have just earned enough for a $50 one (have to wait until the end of the month to cash out....as my credit is pending till then)!!!!!

We booked Trex as a surprise for our boys!

The boys each got BAB gift cards for their b-days which I am saving for our trip so they can also build a Dino that night!

So it should be a fairly inexpensive night of FUN!

OMG THANK YOU!! I don't know why, but for some reason it never occurred to me to just call them directly! I just called and she was able to get us a reservation for the time we wanted! I hate that I don't get a confirmation number, but I'll just hope that there are no problems! Thanks again!
