We've eaten at Rainforest numerous times and think the food is okay. We've never been to T-Rex or Yak & Yeti. Which one do you prefer?

T-Rex is more entertaining and I enjoy the food more. I only have done Yak and Yeti once because I was not impressed.

Is food at T-Rex pretty much the same as Rainforest but with different names?

I just want to warn you, we were there on an off week the parks werent busy, we didnt have any waits anywhere but every single time we went by Downtown Disney the TREX place was a MOB scene.I mean lines out the door and down the street. If they take ressies, I might risk it, but even then it looked like a place I will avoid for a while. We tried to get into the gift shop to see the "Build a Dino" which is a dino version of Build a Bear, and it was hard to even move. The place looked awesome, might be a bit scary for little ones.

Get a reservation!!!!! Oh, and it looked awesome inside, and the Build a Dino was adorable!

We have eaten at both. The atmosphere at T-Rex was cool but, we found the food to be very similar to Rainforest Cafe. Not bad but, no different.

We ate at Yak and Yeti two weeks ago and really enjoyed the restaurant and our meals were terrific. It was one of the first ADR's we made last week for our trip in August.

So, Yak and Yeti gets my vote!:thumbsup2

Just ate at T-Rex last week and I think they and Y&Y are on a par with each other - the food is good both places, but in theme T-Rex wins hands down

Can we pay for dining here with a Disney Gift card or Disney Dollars?Landry's gift card?

We are on the dining plan but 1 meal will be out of pocket since the castle is 2 meals.

thank you!

We did both places last time. Got walk ins at both. TRex is very cool, but it seemed like the basic food that you could get anywhere. Just a cool atmosphere. Yak & Yeti was awesome! Loved the atmosphere and the food. Even the staff was terrific. I vote Y&Y. Even my 'I hate Disney' DH loved it:lmao:

I know for sure that you can pay for T-Rex with a Landry's Gift Card (and Yak & Yeti as well). T-Rex does take reservations but you need to call them direct.
