T rex in Downtown Disney

Hopefully they are open in December because my family and I would want to go there so we can try it.

The sign outside says Fall 2008...However recently the computer over at Disney Dining is reading Late 2008...I spoke with someone who works at the Rainforest Cafe in DTD...She said there is no word on when it will open, when they will start making ADR or if they will take the dining plan...She was guessing late 2008 (like MAYBE late November/ early December) and that no they would not take the plan since Rainforest does not and they are owned by the same company...

We have eaten at the one here in Kansas City a few times. Food is very much like Rainforest, but the atmosphere is great! This will be a great addition to Disney. We will be there in December and can not wait to compare.

That's a good point because they would be owned by the same company who own the Rainforest Cafe and we know they don't accept the DDP.

We just left DTD saturday morning and the site where T Rex is going to be just looks like a skeleton building. No walls up yet and there were still welders inside working. By my guess i would estimate maybe November for an opening

My kids are wicked excited! I must say, I really hope they DON'T take the DDP because it makes it so much easier to get a reservation. We used to have to wait at LEAST an hour if we walked into Rainforest, but last trip, they took us in at 7:00 pm on a Sat. night with NO wait!
