Does anybody know when in 2007 T-rex cafe will be opening in DTD? We will be going in September 2007, and my son would love this place! T-rex cafe web site just says opening soon in DTD. Thanks guys!

No. T-Rex is going into DTD. An Asian restaurant is going into AK. Both of them will be operated by the same company.

Sorry, but i don't know when they will be completed.

Asia will be in AK and it is supposed to open in Fall 2007.
T Rex will be in DTD (I don't know which section for sure, but I think I read it was the West Side) and is supposed to open in 2008.

The first T-Rex restaurant is slated to debut this spring in Kansas City, Kan. A second location is scheduled to open in Downtown Disney, near Orlando, Fla., in early 2008.

Landry's also acquired a majority interest in Asia, another Schussler concept, scheduled to open inside Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park by summer 2007.

As previously reported, a T-Rex restaurant will be opening in Downtown Disney, officially located in Pleasure Island. The restaurant will feature audioanimatronic dinosaurs. The restaurant will be run by the same group that created the Rainforest Cafe.

It would seem to me that the PI rumor would make more sense. They are certainly planning to really overhaul PI. Just some more curveballs for ya

I agree. Isn't PI getting a major redo with nearly all the clubs going the way of Horizons? What are they putting in PI?

I called Trex cafe in Kansas, and they said the goal is to have it open in December 2007. Sadly too late for our trip .

I know T Rex will be popular with kids. But anyone else get the feeling it will just be RFC with different theming?
I would guess it will just make RFC less busy.

So the old PI valet parking lot? Would make sense--it hasn't been used as such in years, is one of the few open spaces available, and is close enough to both PI and the Marketplace that I could understand the confusion as to its location. Would also serve to "anchor" the Marketplace with RFC.
