We are planning our trip to disney at the end of May:banana::banana:

My 8 year old son is SOOOO into dinosaurs that the obvious choice is to go to the TREX cafe. No question there.

However, I have a citicard and earn extra cash. On their "extra cash" site you can use your cash to buy a TREX gift card. You pay $45.00 for a $50.00 gift card, or $90 for a $100 gift card.

My question is, there are eight of us. Me, my DF, my mother, my 13 year old daughter, my 2 12 year old sons, my 11 year old son and my 8 year old son. For all of us to eat, would we need the $50, or will we use all of the $100 gift card.

Keep in mind, that a normal restuarant in our home town runs us anywhere from $30 to $40 for all of us to eat. But I don't want to have much left over.

Ooo, but as I am writing this, I think I may need to get $150 worth of gift cards. Hmm, please help. I tried to find pricing, but I can't seem to locate it!!

Anyone been there lately with that big a party that can tell me how much it might cost??? :worship:

Thank you so much!!

My 10 year old daughter and I ate there last week and it cost $65 not including tip. My daughter had a adult entree and I had a salad with salmon and we shared a dessert. Oh yeah and one alcoholic drink and she got a special drink of some kind, non alcoholic. And as a special treat someone from T rex stole the numbers off my credit card and tried to charge something overseas. Would not had tipped so well if I knew they were going to help themselves to my credit. Just beware although I know it can happen anywhere.

I would be really surprised if you can feed 8 people for $100 there.
4 of us dined there Friday. We did get 1 appetizer, 1 dessert (the big one), 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals...the total with tax and tip came to about $130.

I would say if you can get a $150 gift card to go with that one. DH and I go to Rainforest(owned and operated by the same company) and spend $50+ that is just two entrees and one cocktail and 2 sodas. Plus, if by chance you dont use the whole thing which I pretty sure you would. They have a gift shop including a place like Build A Bear Workshop called Build A Dino. You might find something you like. I know I have never walked out of Rainforest without buying something even after the dinner cost. Hope this helps.

where can you eat in your hometown for less than $5/person? I don't even know we could do that at Burger King!
