T-Rex Cafe - Can you order off the menu at the bar?

Would like to try T-Rex for our arrival night. I don't really want to make a reservation since I'm not sure what time we'll make it Disney Springs. Can you order off the regular menu at the bar? Are there usually a couple free seats at the bar during crowded times? Do you think we would miss out on a lot of the experience of the restaurant if we ate at the bar?

Yes!! We have done this many times and avoid the wait!

PS You can still explore the restaurant even when you sit at the bar and the fish tank by the bar is pretty cool in itself.

Our trip was planned last-minute (by Disney standards). We also want to try T-Rex on our arrival day but the only ADR they had left was 9:30pm. With 4 small kids and EMM planned for the next morning that’s too late for us. If we show up around 6pm on a Monday, what are the odds we will get a table? The bar isn’t really an option for us because of the kids.
