T-Rex and reservations

Hello all! I'm sure you notice that I'm new to the DIS, and this is my first Thread posting. I hope I don't mess it up.

I happened to see that someone had asked whether or not anyone knew about ADR for the T-REX restaurant.

I called today and they have what is called Priority Seating that you can make up to 6 months in advance. Just like The ADR you check in and may have a 5 to 10 minute wait.

Also you can request what room you would like to be seated in and they try to accommodate you if possible. So if you have small ones you might want to request a specific room. Its worth it if you don't want to be by the big T-REX when he roars!

Can you request the specific room when you make the reservation or at the podium? I already have a ressie but I wasn't aware they took room requests. Thanks.

I requested a specific room when I made the reservations today. I'm not sure if you can do it once you are at the restaurant or not. but You could probably call and add that to your reservations though. I think they put a note with the reservation, and try and accommodate. She didn't tell me whether it was a positive, but that you asking is taken into account.

We were just there and were in the forest room. Pretty cool!
The fish room looks neat as well.
not so sure about the ice room. It changes colors, which is cool, but it kinda looked like it would give me a headache

WoW! Thanks for the picture! We can't wait to go and eat there.

The T-REX restaurant is owned by Landrys. They also own Rainforest Cafe.
If you google Landry's it should take you to a link where you can find all types of info on T-REX.

LovinPooh, we sat right next to those guys when we went as well! heheheh My DD really wanted the ice room, but it seemed a little dark and too colored to be in there for long, JMO! It was super cool going through there to the restroom, though!

Does anyone have more pictures to post of the restaurant? I would like to see the ice room or the mammoth.

None of us are really into dinosaurs, but the few pictures I did see look amazing. We are thinking of lunch or dinner in June. Thanks!

Ok, I just posted almost a duplicate message--sorry for the repitition! I'm a little confused, though--if you can book a priority seating 6 months in advance, what's the difference between priority seating and an ADR?

I personally loved the forest room. The ceiling was super cool when the meteor storm, or whatever it was happened. DH started getting annoyed with a few of the little dinos... said he wished he had brought his hunting rifle
