I really hate TOM...............

Heres what I am feeling right now as I write............

Dying for a piece of chocolate....
Bloated.....
Tired........
Restless.......
Cranky........
WOrst of all once again.dying to cheat prefreable CHOCOLATE....


and of course, I can't count on losing any pounds this week........so i wonder why bother!!!

UGHHHHHHHH just venting all...............

But, i guess I care enough to post this rather that get that piece of chocolate...........

going to bed now, I am sure I look back at this thread and laugh a week from now...........

BUt I need to know, what do you guys do during TOM to shale these feelings most of all not cheat?

I'm right there with you. Except add migraine to the list....for the third day in a row. I try to stay on track with low carb candy....I get that chocolate taste without really cheating. Except today DH told me to cheat. He thinks it will help my mood. Hang in there....few more days and it will be over with.....until next month:(
 
I know exactly how you feel! I've been just like that for the last several days, it drives me crazy! :crazy: I don't just get cravings for chocolate and stuff, I get real hunger pangs like I haven't eaten for several days, it makes me feel like I could eat everything in sight! ::yes:: Personally the key for me is recognizing the feelings and knowing that it is just going to last for a few days. Once I have recongnized what it is, it is much easier for me to deal with, because I know if I just stay strong for a few days, then the feelings will go. This is key to my not cheating.

Renee as far as not losing any weight this week. If you stay OP and don't cheat just think how much weight you will lose next week when you get rid of all the water that you have retained!

hang in there -- you WILL lose next week if you stay OP during dreaded PMS/TOM

i'm there too this week, i stopped birthcontrol pills a couple months ago and noticed i'm much more symptomatic than I was. crampy, irritated, etc. and I read somewhere that PMS hormones truly do send signals of hunger when you aren't really -- gee thanks

Pamprin takes the edge off the cramps and crankiness for me -- or a heating pad on my lower back feels great.

as for the chocolate -- well, I failed miserably this month -- too much Easter candy at my house. today I will be better! i vow to you now!

for me if I try a low pt chocolate treat (tootsie roll pop....) then I get crazy and lose control and overeat. it's best for me to just avoid it all together. on top of that I have convinced myself i'm a sugar addict this past week! :eek: :crazy:
 

I don't always have such a tough time. But last week, I ate everything in sight ... and I just could not stop. I tried to drink more water ... just gave me something to wash down all the food :rolleyes: I'm hoping that this week will be better. Even though TOM is over, the chocolate from my kids easter baskets last night was really tasty :eek:

If anyone has a magic solution, I'd love to hear it too.

I just wanted to say I know how you feel. My TOM was last week and it was worse than usual. I always get a headache that starts the day before and lasts for three or four days. And with that comes muscle aches in my neck & shoulders which makes exercising really hard. But this time I had cramps really bad. I also am constantly hungry. I do know that my symptoms are worse because I am hypoglycemic and it is worse during TOM. I tried taking midol, but I will never do that again because it made things worse. I usually give in to the hunger a little bit more during TOM otherwise I am just miserable. I also try to find snacks that will work on plan to take care of those cravings. For example I get the low carb chocolate ice cream to help with the chocolate craving. Other than that you just have remember it will be over soon and you will hopefully have a big whoosh in the end.

I did the whole easter candy thing too but that night once the kids were sleeping, I sorted it out at my last piece and then put it in a big bag.........and put it away.last night when they asked for some, I asked my hubby to go down and let them each pick 2 pieces, I will do the same if they ask again.......

Anyway I ate all the god stuff lol...... I am feeling a bit better today and I am actually down a pound, I think that out me in a good mood.

4 more days!!!!!!!
