I was about to purchase 2 of these prepaid phones and they come w/60 minutes but do I have to wait until I get the phones to buy the the extra 1000 minutes? Also, is there an activation fee? When I was going through the checkout process and I had to read and agree to the terms it said a onetime $35 activation per phone line. Is this correct?

I bought the T-Mobile to go phone for my son. We got it on sale at Target and paid no activation fee. I buy him the 10.00 refill cards when I need to.
Very easy!

For T-Mobile pay-as-you go. I bought the phone on sale from Target about a year ago. I did not pay an activation fee. I now have a cell phone through work and will pass the T-Mobile phone to my daughter. The $25 card buys 167 minutes, which are more than enough. Also, the expiration for the minutes is 1 year.

I bought a T-Mobile pay as you go phone from Target a couple of months ago. I brought the phone to a T-Mobile store where they activated it for me. I chose the 100.00 card with 1000 minutes because those minutes expire in one year. The other card's minutes expire sooner. There was no activation fee, nor did they charge me to set up the phone. I have to say, I like this phone!!

I have been overall happy with T-Mobile. Customer service has been touch and go (there were some voice mail problems on a few days - and I wish that all these companies would get better teck and customer support!) But otherwise, I've been thrilled. It has saved us a lot of money. I got the 1000 minutes plus some extra minutes for $107.00 with tax (expires in a years time).

When I refill the minutes, we are supposed to get the extra 15% add on too, for 1150 minutes, same price.

Hi,

I just bought a T-mobile phone for my daughter, and we are happy with the phone and the service. No activation fee, and customer service was very good.

Hope it helps.

Just an update, Target has a free t-mobile phone with the purchase of a $100.00 card.
I think this is a good deal...the phone also comes with a $15.00 card.

I went to a T-Mobile store at a Mall in NJ. They waived the activation fee and automaticaly bumped me to .10 per minute. I bought the $100 card, which entitles me to receive refills at .10 per minute. They set everything up.

My 84 yr old dad just bought a T-mobile phone and it is not very loud. He is hard of hearing and can not hear the phone ringing and has trouble hearing the person at the other end talking.
