I just bought one for my nephew who turned 3 today. I am giving it to him tomorrow and I will let you know his reaction when he plays with it.
I was so excited that my sister put this on his list. My DD had the Mother Goose when she was little and she loved it!!!

YES id love to hear...My daughter LOVES to read and loves books on tape AND stuffed animals...PLEASE tell me what he thinks** thanks, Just wondering if its worth the money...

Sounds like you can't go wrong with this one.
I actually got a great deal on him. He was $34.95 (?) at Toys R Us last week and I had a $10.00 coupon.
I have to run out and get the batteries so he is all ready to go tomorrow night. I will let you know how he reacts as soon as I get home.

iTS the same thing as Teddy Ruxpin back in the 90's. I wouldn't be suprised if it was the same technology, but just a new bear.

My FIL has a Teddy Ruxpin back in his playroom and last time I checked it still worked! It was my nephews (now 25 years old). My daughter liked the Teddy Ruxpin when she was smaller.

Still as Scary as Teddy Rexpen

Reporting back as promised. Well, my nephew looked in the gift bag and saw only the top of the bears head. He screamed NOOOOO and ran off to hide behind the couch. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
When we finally got him back in the room to finish opening his presents, he opened a card that had money in it and said "that's better". :rotfl: :rotfl:
We tried to open the box just to see if he would like it better when we put the batteries in but he wanted no part of it. Good thing I put the receipt in the bag. My sister is returning it tomorrow.
I will forever be known as the Aunt who terrified her 3 y/o nephew. :lmao:

OMG :lmao: well, maybe I should Show madison this Bear and see what she thinks BEFORE I BUY IT :crazy2: oh good grief ............ :scared:

My daughters, 5 and 3 got this as a gift about a month ago. While they think he is cute, they never play with him. He was quickly relegated to the bottom of the toy bin. I only had one additional cartridge, but they would rather look at books on their own or have me read to them. I was certain my 3 yo would LOVE him, because she loves to look through books and listen to stories, but at least in our house, he just doesn't hold anyone's interest--oh and after one run-through of the games he plays, my 5 yo had memorized all the answers to the questions he asked so that was no fun either.

I was considering this for my 3 yo dd, but decided it would not hold her interest. They have them set up in the stores to "preview."

Yes, same here. I even bought it from Hasbro when they had their 25% sale , but ended up returning it. They give you prepaid return shipping labels with every box. whoo hoo!

I was just afraid it would end up not being played with.

OMG that is hilarious!! I would loved to have been there. Thanks for the good laugh, I needed it!

I'm glad to see this thread. My DS4 just saw the commercial & said he wanted the bear. It doesn't sound like he'd stay interested long either so I think we'll pass.
