Just read the thread about the mini-DisMeet 10/28 at BWV...now I want one, too!
OOOPS...DianeSchlicht has just PMed me to tell me a DisMeet thread is already "working" so everyone ignore this and go to the other one! I don't know how to post a link, or I would...but its header is something like "anyone interested in meeting" and then the dates...and it was started by DianeSchlict...
Hope to see lots of you 11/24 (or whatever date is chosen in the other thread)...
We'll be at SSR 11/18-11/25...I can promise to be somewhere (anywhere on property) any time late-ish in the day 11/18 (I get in around noon), or any time during the day/early evening 11/19...but 11/20-11/25 the wishes of DS (who's meeting me at SSR, traveling in from college) could interfere...he's not "cyber-social" like I am!
Anyway...seems like a lot of us will be "home" for T-giving, so shall we try to meet up? I suspect the only day we'll all be there is T-giving Day itself, which may or may not be a good time for a DisMeet...but maybe there's a time/place that will work well for most of us, or maybe a lot of us, or at least a "critical mass" of us?...so, below are some possibilities (and I'm open to any and all alternatives!)
Starting w/what works best for me (selfish wench, aren't I? But you gotta start somewhere!)...
1. Sunday, 11/18, at 4 p.m. at SSR in the Turf Club lounge area?
OR
2. Monday, 11/19, 3 p.m., Beaches & Cream (just outside it)...we can all have our favorite brand of ice cream and hang out pool-side (even tho those of us staying elsewhere won't be able to actually use SAB)?
OR
3. Wednesday, 11/21, 4 p.m. at Epcot International Gateway--outside Epcot--(and we can decide where to go from there (after hanging around for 10-15 minutes to be sure that everyone who's coming has gotten there?)?
OR
4. T-giving Day...11 a.m. (hopefully no one will have T-giving dinner reservations that early!) at Downtown Disney?...maybe at the pin-trading center? We'll hang out for 10 minutes or so waiting to see who else may be showing up, and then pick a spot (Ghiradelli's for ice cream?--do I see a pattern here? Grin) or maybe Earl of Sandwich or Puck's Express for lunch?
Those are just ideas...we'll see who posts preferences (including new ideas!) and then go w/"majority rules" (assuming anyone wants to do this!)...
