We are:

Tony, (DH - Tony64) age 44 - in charge of driving, collecting coffee and doughnuts for breakfast, running to get fast passes and generally stressing. This is his ninth trip.

Theresa (me), age 43 - in charge of the credit cards and plotting quickest routes to the shopping malls. This is my tenth trip.

Maddie (DD), age 19 - jointly in charge of where we eat, shop and play this trip. This is her seventh trip.

Callum (DS) age 18 - in charge of himself. This is his seventh trip.

Tuesday 26th August 2008

We were up and out of the door by 8.20am today, thanks to Maddie forcing us to get up early. We arrived at Animal Kingdom in time for opening. We parked in Unicorn 23 and walked to the entrance, we couldn’t resist trying to beat the tram which was just loading. We just about did it, thereby beating lots of people to the front of the queue!

We went straight to Expedition Everest where Tony got us fast passes for later and the rest of us rode it straight away. This is our favourite ride in this park. We picked our favourite rides and shows and decided it was a good day to come as the queues were only a 5-10 minute wait, some no wait at all.

We had lunch at Restaurantasaurus, as chosen by Maddie and Callum, as Maddie is obsessed with the Disney counter service burgers. She said hers was better than the Grand Floridian Cafe one yesterday.

We watched an aeroplane write smoke messages in the sky that read out “Jesus loves u”, “Trust Jesus” and “U + God = :) “ which we thought were impressive.

We left the park mid-afternoon, stopping to look at the animals and birds on the way out.

We stopped off at Friendly’s and had 2 rounds of ice-creams! We’ll definitely go back again as there are more ice-creams we want to try (thanks for the recommendation, Joh!).

As we can’t keep away from the shops we popped into Joann’s (craft shop), Target and Walmart before picking up some pizzas and chicken wings from Pizza Hut and going back to the condo to watch some episodes of ‘House’ before bed.

Bucklands can sure get a ton of fun out of a day. I'm betting that thanks to Maddie's early start and moving about so fast all day, you managed to work off all those lovely calories. I've always thought that the best reducing diet in the world involves great Disney food and running all over the parks.

Another fantastic report with lovely photos.

Great day, were also going to try Friendly's on Joh's recommendation :thumbsup2 .Great pics.x.

Look at the size of those ice-creams :scared1: heaven

We also saw the plane messages - imagine if that's your job, spending every day writing messages in the sky :rotfl:

Don't you just love that blue Florida sky :cool2:

As my next florida trip will be with Joh im definatly going to try friendly's :cool1:

Lovely looking desserts, yum. We also saw the sky writer the last time we were there:thumbsup2

Those sky-writers drive me nuts. I'm sure neither Jesus nor God approves of polluting the planet in their name! And just what does U + God equal? Ugod? :confused3 :rotfl:

I might have to try it too - they look yummy! Whereabouts is the restaurant?

It's on International Drive, just a little way from Wonderworks on the oppostie side of the road near Tony Roma's. It's nearer to the South part of I-Drive than the north.

Great day Theresa - Friendlys has got to be one of our favourites for cheap and cheerful - never fear, Nat, I reckon we'll have at least a couple of trips there next year - only 13 months to go :cool1:

huge ice creams. wonderful day
