This might be the oddest question yet. But is the syrup 100% maple syrup or is it that fake stuff? Is it warm or cold?

Yes, I am now to the point of obsessing over syrup. :lmao:

I'm going to say it's Aunt Jemima:rotfl:

I don't think it's REAL maple syrup. Well, they do sell the real stuff in the Canada Pavillion :)

At the buffets, you will find it served warm, right next to the Mickey waffles.

At the food courts, you'll find it in individual containers near the rest of the condiments.

I just had to laugh at this summer - I just made pancakes for the kids this morning, which got me thinking about syrup on our trip too.

:lmao: I think about it every time I make pancakes on the weekends.

I fully admit to being a syrup snob. I can handle fake if necessary as long as it's warm. I can NOT stomach fake & cold. So....at least I have 50% of my syrup requirement fulfilled.

Only recently have I become a syrup snob. I always thought I hated syrup- then I discovered real maple syrup. AH! THAT I like.
I think I'll bring some along with me- you know one of those little bottles. Think I would get in trouble?

Trust me, I had that thought. I HAATE cracker barrel for breakfast but I might consider eating there just to get those little bottles of syrup for our trip. LOL!

I have always been a syrup snob. My grandparents always had Camps maple syrup and I can't stand the fake stuff any more. If its warm it is at least tolerable for a meal or two but thats about it. It is good to hear that I can at least get it warm at Disney. I didn't think that Disney would spring for pure maple considering how much they must go through.

For those that havent had it try the grade B maple syrup. Grade B does not mean it is worse in quality. The flavor is a little different and it is good to change it up every now and then.

:rotfl: well if it makes u feel better i've been obsessing over if the restaurants have tabasco i gotta have my hot sauce!
i'm not a syrup snob all the way I just have to have mrs buttersworth over aunt jemima :rotfl2:

I made sure I didn't eat any waffles or pancakes while I was recently at WDW. Not sure if i'm a Syrup SNOB per se - I ONLY like Karo Maple Syrup. It's become SOOOOOO hard to find.. My family even has me buy extra throughout the year - and when I head to Southern CA for Christmas - I have bags full of the stuff!

:rotfl2:

This is my kind of subject, syrup snobs unite! I was born and raised in Vermont so I have pure maple syrup in my vains, won't even consider touching the fake stuff, not even warm. Unfortunately, I can't order pancakes at many places, even Disney.:snooty:

I would be really surprised if they served real maple syrup given how expensive it is right now.

haha I'm totally the opposite - I will only eat Table Syrup, I can't stand Maple Syrup!

Me too! :rotfl2:

I accidentally got some of the real stuff a while back and I was like "gack, what is this???"

My palate has been corrupted--bring on Mrs. Butterworth!

it's definitely table syrup...no strong maple flavor at Chef Mickey's or Kona Cafe breakfasts.

Heh heh you are free to be a syrup snob. See coffee thread...

The trees are rigged up around me, I can smell the fresh syrup cooking soon...

I know we'll either be bringing some or DS will just be using powdered sugar, b/c he absolutely can't have "table syrup". The corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup make him an absolute terror. Sadly, I was raised with real maple syrup (my mom was from Schenectady and that's all they ever had) but I absolutely HATE the grade A stuff (grade B is good, but doesn't taste right on pancakes to me). So I just don't get things requiring pancakes when around DS, LOL, because it's not fair.:upsidedow

Did exactly this last year! 2 years ago, we thought the Mickey waffles were great, but, being from the maple syrup country, they would be so much better with the "good stuff". So I bought a Rubbermaid drinkbox that seemed leak free, filled it with syrup, put it in a double ziploc (didn't want that stuff on my clothes... what a loss;)), and into my checked luggage. Now we were talking waffles... No problem at all in the food court, however I wouldn't be so brass as to bring some to a sit down breakfast. Only negative was to go back to the room everyday and place it in the ice bucket. Sure wouldn't have fared well in the car all day...

Yum!! I love when they serve the warm syrup at the buffets.
