Since I have to head to Syracuse this weekend I thought it would be a great opportunity to meet some Central NY pin collectors. Any one want to meet me at Carousel Mall tomorrow, Saturday September 1st, and trade?

Cynthia have a great time! Make sure you go by TDS while you are there and say "HI" to Lori (Lori in CNY). We had a meet there last year about this time and had a lot of fun!

I remember that meet. I almost made it to that one. I will definitely go visit Lori. I hope she is working (for my sake, not hers!)

I never actually saw this post until now (Sunday morning) but a little fate and Pixie Dust brought JojoCt and I (and my DH) together at Carousel Mall just the same. It was great meeting you Jojo and trading with you!!! Yes, I was able to run home, pick up the DH and the trader bag and we met and were able to make THREE TRADES !!!!

I've never met a DISer yet, that hasn't been terrific to us. Even us newbies to trading. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And Jonie, thanks for thinking of me and telling her to look me up. We are having another meet in conjunction with the TDS pins. Would you be able to come up on Sept 29th??

Pin Trading is Alive and Well in Central New York (CNY)!!!!!!!

Yes, pin karma was definitely working for me yesterday and I had the best time with Lori and Scott. I was in the Disney store Saturday morning, and asked if Lori was working. The CM told me she wasn't - she had worked Friday night. I was disappointed and was about to leave the store after complaining about the lack of merchandise, when the CM directed me to hooded sweatshirts which were 50% off. My friend and I went back to pick up 2, one for each of us and after looking around a little bit more, went to check out. While I was paying I heard the CM tell a customer, "Someone was asking for you this morning, but I don't remember who." I said, "If it was someone asking for Lori, it was me!" Sure enough, the customer was an off-duty Lori who came in to the store on her day off. Now why would she have done that if she hadn't gotten my pin karma vibes? I spent several minutes talking to her and her friend, fellow CM Kathy who also collects pins, and mentioned that I might be meeting another pin trader in the food court at 1:00 so I had my pins with me. We said our good-byes, exchanged email addresses, and went our separate ways.

My friend and I shopped some more and arrive in the food court a few minutes before 1:00. We had lunch, but when no one showed up by 1:30, we grabbed our bags and headed out. As we were walking through the mall I spotted a Halllmark store and went in to scope out the merchandise. They had Pooh/Piglet Pin Pairs marked 40% off (5 left) so I picked those up and was paying for them when Lori and her husband come into the Hallmark store. They had been on their way to the food court and just HAPPENED to spot me inside. Thank goodness for pin karma -- and lime green shirts (lol). We found a table in the mall, each got a cup of the BEST coffee, and talked and traded for almost an hour.

I wish I was going back to Syracuse for the meet on the 29th. I would love to see Lori, Scott and Kathy again, and meet the other CNY pin traders. I still have a few pins I know Lori would love to have so I need to work somthing out!
