I know I've read several times that this ride is supposed to be opening in the summer of 2006, but are there any insiders that have a more definite date? I'm hoping we'll get to ride it next visit.

There is no definate date. Summer means sometime between Spring and Fall. Universal hasnt even offically announced it yet.....that has to tell you something. Sylvester McMonkey Mcbeans Unusal Driving Machines will open this year, or should I say the Seuss Sky Trolley or Family Train. They've changed the name on it also.

Here they are breaking the old arches and rebuilding them...so I was told

I was at IOA on Friday and heard them working in the queue area. So, I guess it's gonna happen....finally!

screamscape.com has pics of them making all of the indoor scene entrances taller, so the new ride vehicles apparently will be bigger than the old ones...that may be part of the reason there's not a confirmed date yet.

While most of it might look similar so far, it appears that they're actually rebuilding most of the attraction.

And this really confused me....didnt they already replace the track? Isnt that what that second set of tracks are above the first? Reason I ask is because screamscape.com today says that there is new coaster style track for that ride sitting behind JP. More track??? Or could this possibly be the start of the new JP ride???
And BTW....when is IOACentral going to be back up? I got some big news.

Yep, go to the main site and then click on the discussion boards. You'll have to choose "forgot password" as all the passwords were eaten in the board change. You will be sent a new password.
