SWW vs July crowds

Out of curiousity for those of you who have gone during both times....
Does SWW bring the kind of crowds to WDW that you would see in mid-July?
We like going in mid-late July but are considering mid-late May trip this year and I was just curious on crowd comparisons.

SWW only affect DHS. No difference that I have noticed in the other parks--but note that crowds will (still) be moderate to heavy. July will be more crowded.

We went the first week of June last year and did SWW and we've done several trips in July. We won't do July again, it is much more crowded in July in my experience. We are going to SWW again this year though! I really expected SWW to be way more crowded than it was, especially since Mark Hamill was there our weekend, it was crowded, don't get me wrong, but I thought it would be MUCH worse than it was.
