for dinner. Did I do the right thing?? Whispering Canyon looks like fun. My family is sooo picky I just don't think they would like Tusker House. From what I've heard, AK is not really an all day park. So I made resv for 6:20. I'm thinking we can ride the bus or take our own car. And go back to AK when we're finished if the kids want to.

So did I do the right thing??? Or just make it more complicated??? :surfweb:

Did you take a look at the menus? If not, take a peak and see what the offerings are. You can find them here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining.htm

Regarding going back to AK after your 6:20 ressie at Whispering Canyon, you should check the hours for AK, it's not usually open very late.

I can't offer an opinion on Tusker House, we haven't had the chance to eat there since they changed it to a buffet (but we're going there for breakfast in May!). If you're worried about sticking around AK waiting for your ressie, see if you can get a late lunch. If you plan on staying for the parade, it's not until 4:00, so you could always try to get a ressie for just after the parade.

Whispering Canyon can be a fun place to dine. If you get a really great server, you will have a lively dining experience. We like the food, but don't go there for the food. Does that make sense? So, if you think your family would be up for the "fun" of Whispering Canyon and the menu looks ok for everyone, then go for it!

I was probably no help at all! But, I'm sure whatever you decide is right for your family will be just fine! :goodvibes

Thanks for the info! We actually planned to go to AK because it is open till 11:00pm that day. I think we would prefer the food better since we're from the south and eat that sort of food. Thats why I was worried about Tusker house because my family is really picky. I'm thinking if the kids still want to go back to the park then we can, if not then we can head back to the resort. Thanks again :thumbsup2

I would recommend WC. The meal was pretty good and the kids had a great time, especially at other visitors expense. Everyone that I have recommended it to says the will go back.

The Whispering Canyon is one of our favorite restaurants at Disney!
The last time we ate there for dinner our waiter was the absolute best - he should be on stage - loved him!!! We've eaten there for B, L and D and had all levels of server interaction, every time is a new experience which keeps it fun. The food in our opinion is great and I can be very picky : )
I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
