I have a question. My husband and I are taking our third trip to WDW next June and have been contemplating spitting our trip between the Polynesian and The Boardwalk Inn. While I see alot of information available about the Polynesian, there is little about the Boardwalk. What is the overall consensus regarding this resort? Also, has anyone had ever had any problems switching resort midway through their trip? Thank you for your help.

I would not switch resorts until you've had at least 3 days at the first one. That way you have enough time to relax and settle in. When you move over to BWI, call bell services and tell them you want your luggage transferred. They will come up and tag all of your luggage and fill out a form and give you a copy. Make sure you agree on the total number of luggage pieces! After that, go out and enjoy your day. Just check in that afternoon at your new resort!

Have a great stay!

We have split stays twice in the last few years. The first time we switched from ASmo over to POR after three days (we had never stayed at a value and were nervous so we only booked 3 nights there). This went well, but it took our luggage awhile to make it over to POR. When it got there they brought it right to the room for us so no biggie. The second time we stayed 5 nights at BCV on DVC points that we rented, and then did one night at AKL just to try it out. Our luggage made it there very quickly and check in was very smooth. Switching resorts it easy, and a great way to enjoy a couple of different enviornments on one stay! This year we will repeat our 5 nights at BCV and then hope to get a code or good discount to switch over to WL for 2 nights. Disney makes it very easy! Since check out is usually around 11 and check in isn't until 3 or 4, we usually just run over to the hotel and check in first, go and enjoy our day, then call back to find out when our room is ready. In the late afternoon we head back and then have the luggage brought right up.
