Switching Reservation To THV/ Used Developer Points?

Good morning....We booked a two-bedroom at SSR for July 1st- July 5th with developer points....The dates and points will not change if we change to the THV...

Is this an easy switch over to the THV (assuming there is a unit available by the time I get through)?

Or will this be a problem because I used developer points to book the original reservation?

My understanding is that you can use developer points for THV. However, they are subject to seven month non-SSR owner window and you won't be able to attempt a change with them tomorrow because they are not considered "home resort" points for SSR. You have to wait two weeks to attempt the change when non-SSR owners can begin calling and by then SSR owners who can start calling tomorrow may fill those units for the time you want.
