Switching reservation~Dec vs Oct & CR Tower vs GF GV...

We may be cancelling our Dec trip and changing it to the first week in October. We could get the CR Tower room or GF Garden View room, tickets, and free dining for significantly less (almost $2500 less) than our current trip (albeit it is at the GF Concierge and Poly Concierge). Unfortunately, they are not available.

If we go in October, would you pick the CR Tower room or the GF Garden View? I know the kids would love the monorail going through the building at the CR. We chose GF for Christmas because of the decorations but that wouldn't matter in October. Any other advice or tips?

They are just 2 different things. I would pick CR because of the walk to the MK and the cool views from the tower (request castle view!). Either would be great, but I think staying at the CR is almost like staying in the MK, it's so close.

Wow, pretty big decision to switch dates, but I agree with you that taking advantage of the free dining is the way to go! I agree that getting a CR Tower room with castle view would be great, so exciting for the kids too! I see by your signature that the triplets are turning 5. Bet that'll be some party!

You know my answer - GF all the way. I think GF is just so much more relaxing thatn Contemporary. With three kids you need to relax after the parks. Go with Sago Cay gv marina view - you definitely won't regret it. I'd definitely take advantage of the free dining.

I would say CR. You'll have the convenience of the monorail plus concierge. My kids love love love the monorail. In fact sometimes they just want to ride on the monorail for a few loops. They love watching the monorails come and go from the CR lobby and try to guess what color will come next.We had a magical view of the castle and watched it from bed everynight changing colors (the worlds best nightlight) The kids loved the snacks and with small kids they sometimes don't eat big meals so having snacks available that they thought were fun to get and eat was a big help. The 14th Fl at CR is hard to get there are only a few rooms on that floor I'd stay there and do GF another time.

We have Concierge for our CHRISTMAS trip. If we go in October, it would just be a standard room (no concierge). Sorry if wasn't clear in my original post.
