Switching points for reservation

If I book a reservation at 11 months at home resort can I call MS at 7 month mark and have them switch points and use from my other contract? For example, if I book with my AK points at 11 months when I get to 7 month mark can I call in and have them switch reservation to pull from my Boulder Ridge points and put AK points back in my bucket?

Only if there is still availability for the same type & size of the villa and dates as the reservation you made during the home resort priority period.

If there isn't availability, you won't be able to reallocate points in that way. This rule is in place so that members cannot circumvent the home resort priority period.

Subject to availability at the 7mo mark, you wouldn't need to call into MS, just modify online. However as the PP mentioned, if the room type is no longer available then the contracts used for the original booking will be locked. Also, keep in mind that when modifying a reservation, the original dates will always appear as "available" since you already have it reserved... so there would have to be a second room with the same criteria to be able to successfully modify using 7mo points.
