Switching Inside 30 Day Window

We booked a last minute trip in a one bedroom. We are inside the 30 day window. I'd like to hunt for a 2 bedroom for the same dates so additional family can join us (flexible on the resort). If I submit a waitlist request for the exact same dates at the resort we are staying at and set it to replace our reservation will our points go into holding or will they just be used towards the two bedroom (plus any additional points we need). Thank you!

It should just be replacing the reservation and nothing to holding

As long as the new reservation is more than the one it is replacing, you won’t have any leftover holding points since you are using them.

I also want to add for other who may not realize…as soon as you complete a modification within 31 days, the points automatically get the holding status.

You don’t see if if you replace…but that is why you can’t move the trip more than 60 outs to avoid it.
