You can also modify an existing reservation without having to book a brand new one. I’ve modified our upcoming reservation myself, and on trips where we used a TA I’ve had our agent modify our reservation from one on-site resort to another. This keeps the original confirmation number and any deposits/payments already made. We changed resorts about a week or two ago for our upcoming trip and it was inside the 60 day window, and our confirmation number and FP are the same as they were before we switched.
If you log in to
MDE and look at your resort reservation info, there should be a “Modify” button, which will allow you to add park tickets days or change your room category or resort, and I think your dates too, can’t remember for sure. I think sometimes the Modify option and appearance can be spotty for some users, so you might have to try different internet browsers if it’s not appearing for you.
That being said, PP is correct that you can also book a new reservation and link that to your MDE account, then cancel the original reservation. As long as you have a room reservation and tickets linked to your account, your FP shouldn’t be affected. To be safe, if you do take that route, make sure to take a screen shot or save a copy of all your FP before canceling the original reservation, in case MDE does something weird and you need a CM to help recover any missing FP.
