We will be staying at BCV later this month. We're travelling with another couple who will only be there for 4 nights of our 7 night reservation. On our last night, my parents, who are coming down to Florida for the month of April, want to come stay with us. There's no occupancy issue, since we have a 2BR and our friends will have vacated the second one. My parents won't be going into the parks. They just want to have dinner with us and enjoy the resort that night before heading south the next day. My question is this - do I need to officially add my parents to our reservation or should I just have our friends leave their magic bands and give them to my parents when they arrive so that they can get in the room and the Stormalong Bay area? My parents will have a car. Will that be a problem?

Thanks!

Laurie

I can't add everyone to start with due to occupancy. My family of 5 will be there the whole time. Our friends are a family of 3 who will be there 4 nights. Then they leave. Then my parents come in for one night.

It should allow for 9 on the reservation so you could add one of your parents. Otherwise your original idea of your friends leaving their MB's will work. Another option would be to get key cards for the room from the front desk that your parents could use.

It is probably not "legal", but I would just have friends leave magic bands.

You are not really taking advantage of anything. You are entitled to have them there.

Note that if you are using the Dining Plan, all members have to be on it for all days!

The 9 restriction may complicate things, and why jump through the hoops, or give DIS the chance to screw things up.

Are there any infants (under 3) in the group. You can have up to 9 of any age plus 1 infant on a BCV 2-bedroom reservation.

No infants, no dining plan. At this point, I think I will wait until we are actually checked in to discuss it directly with BCV staff. We are so close to our arrival date that I don't want to make a change and then find out something has gone wrong with the reservations, or the magic bands we already received, or (heaven forbid!) our FP+ reservations. Thanks for the feedback!
