Switching DHS days

We booked DHS two days in the hopes we get ROTR one page. We are hoping to switch the other day to MK or Epcot. How do you switch? Is it easy in the app to just cancel and make a ‘new park reservation’ (assuming the website calendar is showing availability) or should I call the 1-800. Also, what do people like more MK or Epcot? MK has randomly been filling up this week so decision may be made for us anyway.

Yes, you can cancel your HS day and make a new one, however IIRC it’s not a seamless process like dining, for example. I think it makes you cancel the reservation first and then book a new one, as opposed to prompting you to replace the reservation. Not a huge deal, but I have wondered if anyone has ever had any issues between the drop and new reservation.

As far as MK goes, it’s definitely more popular than Epcot. It has more rides and is classic Disney. Especially right now while Epcot is under construction. If you see that MK is filling up the dates you’ll be there, I would definitely make a reservation there. You could always switch it to Epcot if you change your mind, but I don’t think Epcot has reached capacity yet, while all the other parks have. Switching to Epcot should be easier than switching to another park.
