Switching after 45-day window?

I can't believe I don't know the answer to this question, but here goes:

I have a ressie for POFQ for July, which I booked directly thru Disney. The final payment on my trip is due a week from today. If I decide to upgrade to AKL after I make my final payment, will there be a penalty for the change? If so, is it a flat charge or a per person charge, or what?

As long as it is an upgrade there in no penalty. i upgraded from Pop to POFQ two weeks before our arrival and only paid the price difference which was due immediately.

Penalty if the price goes down is $50, nothing if the price goes up. If documents have already been issued and they have to expedite (FedEx) new ones it's an extra $10, but that usually only if you are within 14 days of travel.
