I'm debating switching to VIA instead of dealing with the regular coffee hassles. It should save some Owner's Locker space (lifetime supply of filters and big bag of coffee vs. small VIA pouch) and be more accurate portions as well as less cleanup and faster in the morning.

Has anyone else already done this or plan on it? I'm wondering about expiration dates but how can it be any worse than old bags of coffee?

I'm considering it - but we do currently have a bunch of coffee in our OL I would want to use up first. I did the taste test thing @ Starbucks and I didn't think it was too bad - I could tell the difference between it and the brewed, but it still wasn't bad. So it's definitely something I'm considering for the future.

I have VIA and think it will be great, but Im not ready to give up my good coffee yet. Via is better than Nescafe and I think it will be good for use at the airport or on the plane or even on the road. ADR use would be great too! Filters and coffee dont take up that much room in my OL. This last trip we drank a pot every morning between 4 ladies so VIA would be an expensive alternative when we have guests.

The volume used might be a big factor for some. We always make too much so individual cups could save us some. VIA isn't free ;)

We but a couple bags of Starbucks Sumatra every trip. We also buy a $12 coffee maker, use it for the trip and leave it for housekeeping when we leave.
I don't trust hotel coffee makers, and I don't want to leave it in the locker due to mildew or mold growing in the lines. I'm just worried it won't be dry.
