On our last cruise we booked a Cat 3 room (8032). Would there be any benefit to us moving our reservation to Dreams Unlimited. We have offered to take Grandparents with us but haven't gotten a yes from them yet.
my3kids is right! And while there are not often discounts on the Cat 3's, we would continue to watch for lower rates should they come available.
I'm not sure if you have cruised before, but you would also have the benefit of experienced cruisers (I've done 10) to help with your planning and to answer your questions.
If you need any further info, please don't hesitate to ask!

I've cruised twice before on DCL. As a matter of fact we booked the Cat 3 7-day on board to qualify for the $200 state room on board credit. Would we still be eligible for the $200 rebate? Also, has anyone taken grandparents with? My husbands parents are very active and I'm sure they would enjoy the cruise. They are nervous about getting sea sick. We are paying for their cruise should they go. I'm thinking a cat 9 or 10. Any advice on which would be better for them?
We are taking my DH parents and his sister with us on our 7 day in March. His parents are both 75 and very active. They are sharing a room with DH sister. We have 3 cat 10's deck 7 fo our group of 9. We thought the split baths would work better for everyone. My FIL was in th Navy and is not to excited about getting on a ship again. We have told him that a cruise ship is different then the old navy ship.
You can fill out the transfer reservation form on the Dreams Unlimited Website. They will switch the reservations for you provided 1) you have paid the deposit; 2) full payment has not been made; and 3) you booked through Disney directly. I just switched my January reservations to Dreams and got their rebate (along with my $200 shipboard credit for booking on the cruise). The Dreams people are very nice.
Also, our parents and aunts and uncles went on the cruise with us in November and didn't have a problem. They are all in their 70's and they had a blast! Good luck!
Dreams has booked all 6 of our cruises. I have researched the prices everywhere and they match the lowest plus give you the rebates. I just got our 2 rooms for Jan upgraded from a category 11 to a category 8 for free! I am excited! Also if they get 8 or more bookings you get a really nice gift in your stateroom from them.
We do a LOT of Disney cruises and always use Dreams (we have 8 more booked with them at present in 2003). I am an anal planner and used to do all the bookings myself, but DU saves me the hassle of watching the prices...we like to book early, and the rates in Sept. typically drop. They take care of that automatically. Also, the rebates are great...we always find lots of use for that extra money in the spa!

SusanU...interesting about matching prices for you. They only offered me the rebate, which still put them far short of another agency's price. I went with cruise.com because they discounted the price hundred's less than Dreams would. I wish they would have matched prices. I would have loved to be able to use them.
I just want to correct the info that Dreams will match prices. Our prices are exactly what you would get by calling DCL yourself. The difference is that we know to ask for discounts when they come available and we watch for them.
Companies that match prices take the money from the agents' commissions and my agents work far too hard to do that to them, but we offer the rebate and personalized, experienced service instead.
Amy, nothing on your reservation would change if you decide to transfer it, you keep your onboard credit.
