Switch from Droid to Iphone - lose apps?

If you switch from Droid to Iphone do you lose all of your apps?

If you are speaking for apps you paid-for through Android Marketplace/Google Play, the answer to that one woud be "yes", as on the Android phone, you purchased a specific app for a specific operating system.

As the free apps go, whatever you had on the Andriod should also be availabe from iTunes...

Yes. The iPhone uses the Apple app store whereas the Droid phones use the Android Marketplace..well...I guess now it's "Google Play" which is so stupid. Many of the same apps can be found for the iPhone, but you would need to seek them out and reinstall. I would love an iPhone but I wouldn't want to lose my Google Maps Navigation (turn by turn with voice) that the Droids have.

I may be wrong but I think I read that turn by turn navigation with voice is coming out on IOS 6 that is out in Beta now for iPhone. Should be out for everyone in few months. hth
