Hi!
I'm going to Disneyland (yay!) the first weekend in October, and one of the things I'm really looking forward to is participating in the swing dancing at the Carnation Plaza on Saturday. Can anyone who has done it tell me a little bit more about it? What's the atmosphere like? Unfortunately my regular dance partner won't be with me, so I'll be asking new people to dance. Is it very cliqueish there, or will this be fine? I live in the Bay Area, and the ballroom/swing dancing scene here is very open and friendly even if you go to a venue where you don't know anyone. I'm used to that and I'm hoping Disneyland will be a similar experience.
Also, what kind of swing predominates? Is it mostly lindy hop or east coast swing or what? (I do everything except west coast swing, so I'm hoping there's a variety.)
