Swine flu board

I thought this was the swine flu board.

Is it time yet? ;)

C'mon, ya knew it was coming eventually. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I asked a few weeks ago if we could bring back the political posts and ban the flu ones! I feel like I need a mask and gloves to DIS lately!!

Pass the Purell please. . .

STEP AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER - A MINIMUM OF 10 FEET!!:eek:

I've been feeling pretty bombarded with all of the swine flu info as well.
I was trying to avoid dwelling on it until DD15 woke up with a high fever this morning along with a bunch of other symptoms. :sad2:
We ended up in the urgent care center at the hospital and sure enough ~ she's got it.

The nurse we had said that in all her years of nursing she's never seen a virus spread so quickly. They had 50 kids in today alone. DD got Tamiflu and decongestant and since we caught it so early, they are very optimistic. She is quarantined until Sunday and they must have asked me 5 times if she's been around any pregnant women.

I know everyone is getting tired of hearing about it (me included)...I just hope none of you have to deal with it.

as long as it dosn't turn into BACON flu....

I think they should just combine ALL the threads that have the piggy sickness mentioned, then close it!

they are not even testing for the swine flu in the doctors office my daughter goes too. Basically if you have flu symptoms they are treating it the same no matter what type of flu.

Fluids, rest, stay home, Tylenol to lower fever and help with the body aches and call us if symptoms get worse or don't improve in 5 days.

I have Lysol'ed my whole house, and when I came back to work today the first thing I did was spray down my whole area. Doing a good job of ignoring the comments about the hospital smell too... I've only smiled and said "do you WANT the flu? (DD) didn't..."

Can we at least put a limit on how many posts ONE person can start about the swine flu as not to clutter up the boards????

Or have one pro vaccine thread and one anti-vaccine thread.

I say combine the pro and con boards together, it would only take a few minutes before the poor mod assigned to look after it would have to shut it down!

the we could all post about bacon...

and RUM!!

I think that's a good idea!

Maybe we need to start lots of fluff threads.

I hope they both feel better very soon.
