Swindon Dis Meet Trippie!( UPDATED 4th april)

PRE TRIP REPORT

Now to be honest this tripppie doesn't need a pre-trip report, but seeing as how that has become my forte so to speak ( and Joh mentioned it so I couldn't resist)I thought it best to include one. Lets see, how did this all begin....

In January, a fellow DISer by the name of Tony64 started a thread to hold a meet in the south, hopefully near Swindon. I had no idea where Swindon was but it was south somewhere so I decided to climb on board. Some interest was shown and the meet became more than a possibility. Our next friendly DISer who was to become a driving force in this escapade was Wilma-Bride, or Joh to those who know her well enough to call her this (that'll be me then). She knew of the perfect venue just outside of Chippenham that would cater to our every whim (ie. food and drink). Lets book it girl!

Certain DIS celebrities consented to come: hello the Stringer family, UKDeb and Boss Hogg (yes they really do deserve the cool smiley) and the countdown began...no I didn't make a ticker for goodness sake...its not like I'm a compulsive pre trip planner or anything....., directions and confirmations were given, and the scene is set.

Love your apt descroptions of the lads (ie Kev and Matt) Although I can't believe that you didn't add that I was looking extremely svelte

Loving the report Claire - and couldn't agree more about the waitress. I mean, when she asked if we enjoyed the meal and then responded with 'I'm glad you did, I'm bloody starving' you have to ask yourself if she's happy in her work

Claire - you're a fantastic trip reporter and definitely a match for the legendry Stringer that is Kevin! You know you're going to come in for some stick, though - mainly from Matt, although I have to say that I'm utterly offended that Tam is described as elegant and classy and I'm not!

The staff at the Plough were hilarious (Joh, I blame you ). As Tam said, it was like a comedy sketch! The one woman kept telling Matt she'd tried to phone him and he didn't answer!

Matt wants to know why he doesn't qualify as elegant and classy. He also wants to point out that I'm a common trollop. I don't know what that means. Anyone?
