Hi there, I was curious if there are any swimsuit restrictions at any of the waterparks. Are bathing suits with rivets allowed, and are rash guards ok (even for women)? The water park near our house doesn't allow either so I'm trying to check in advance.

Thanks!

If i recall correctly, rivets are not allowed on the slides. Rash guards are fine, why would a park not allow this?

Dress Code

  • Swim attire must be appropriate for a family environment, and without buckles, rivets, zippers or exposed metal. Inappropriate swim attire, swim attire with buckles, rivets, zippers or exposed metal, and other sharp objects are not allowed on any of the attractions.
  • Jeans (denim) and wetsuits (neoprene) are not permitted on the following attractions at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park: Bay Slides, Humunga Kowabunga, Ketchakiddee Creek and Storm Slides.
  • For safety, diaper-age children must wear plastic pants or swim diapers in pool areas.

Awesome, thank you so much!

And not sure why rash guards weren't allowed... I think maybe they slow you down on a slide can be unsafe?

I know that the pool and water slide at coranado springs wouldn't let me wear my water shoes which I found odd.

Never been to Coranado Springs, but I'm assuming it's a body slide of some kind? If so, it's a safety hazard. Very easy to get your foot caught on the way down...it's a horrible ankle/knee/hip injury waiting to happen.

Based on our last trip to Typhoon Lagoon, something awfully close to thongs are just fine. Say what you want about BTGs, they dress for the waterpark in a less-is-more kind of way.
