Swimsuit Cover Up

I would say if you are hanging out outside then no. I never wore a coverup going to the pool. I have some gorgeous swim dresses and definitely too nice to cover up if just staying mainly outside. But if i would be eating lunch inside i would definitely have the coverup

Great idea Im glad you posted this because we will be staying at WL and i know the restaurants & counter service are inside so i would hate to be at the pool and be semi-wet and then have to go get lunch. I guess i know what i will be doing tomorrow. lol

I found a really light coverup at Walmart that I love. It goes nicely with my swimdress and isn't bulky at all.

It's not really necessary to have one with a swimdress. I just like to be covered up more walking down hallways and such.

I wear a cover up. However, it is an open knit coverup and just "shadows" the areas I need to hide. I have some beautiful swim dresses and some great swimsuits. I just don't feel comfortable walking around in a bathing suit.

That being said, I have seen plenty of peeps walking around in just their bathing suits and I don't care and never felt the need to judge. Its a personal preference on the coverup.

Can someone explain how they handle the skirt FLOATING in the water?? I absolutely HATE that and feel ridiculous. Swim dresses/skirts are cute when you're poolside, but once you wade into the water and it lifts up and floats it's absurd!! I don't know why they don't stitch them down to the panty or short.

Doesn't this bother anyone else?? Do you constantly push the skirt down or do you let it float?

Mine are short skirted bottoms, I just let it float up, it doesn't bother me.I don't feel ridiculous, nor do I care what others think about it.Its better than me having to look at the roadmap of stretch marks on my thighs from when I weighed 50 lbs more than I do now:rotfl2:

I'm pretty sure my skirt is stitched to the bottom of the panty. I've never noticed it floating. What I hate is when you get out and the skirt has about eight gallons of water in it so you have to wring it out.

I ended up buying a light, open front cover up at Walmart today. My dh asked me what it was when he saw it on the belt and I told him it was a cover up. The cashier asked if it was like a snuggie. :rotfl:

What is the difference between a skirted swimsuit and a swim dress? Just curious as it sounds like something I would be interested in.

It is annoying! Once in the water I sort of tuck up the dress part into the swimsuit itself a bit. Like a few inches above he hem, I tuck that into the my leg openings a bit, so there is still some skirt but some of it is tucked in so I don't get that dress bubble at the surface. It stays in there pretty good. As I type this, I wonder if that made any sense, its hard to explain!

As for a cover up, I do wear one becaause I am self concsious. I see plenty of women in all shapes and sizes, some in cover ups, some without.

Mine also are short and pretty tight to the leg. I bought mine from Newport New and they are called shapefx so i dont have this problem too much.

I do the same thing when I am in the pool - tuck the skirt in the leg openings.
