swimming with manatees

Am trying to find a website that deals with swimming with Manatees on the Gulf coast, just wondered if anyone had done it or if anyone has any ideas on where to look.

Dont know anything about the Gulf coast trip but we did one on I think Silver Creek ?? combined with an airboat ride.

Somewhere up above Orlando. Able to swim off the boat in very clear lake water with a Manatee and its baby.

We are staying in Naples so I have been on the Naples/Marco Island web site where these companies tend to advertise. I would check them out and also look at Sanibel and Captiva web site. To be honest not too sure if you can only do this around the Everglads area. If this is the only area that you can do it then you are looking at a 200 mile plus drive from Orlando

A lot of companies don't tend to allow you to swim with them though bearing in mind that they are wild animals. I'll be just happy to see them in their natural habitat on an airboat ride

You can swim with the manatees at Crystal River. I haven't done it myself, but a friend has and she loved it. Here is a link:
