swimming with dolphins/manatees

Finally decided that we would like to visit DC again this year only to discover that all dates of our holiday are full except the day we fly home! Really dissappointed - I seem to remember reading somewhere that there are other places in Florida that you can swim with dolphins or manatees, any info would be gratefully received.

For manatees the best place is Crystal river. Here's a link to a company that, although I haven't used, I found very helpful http://www.birdsunderwater.com/
