We (me, DH, DS6 and DS3 and 10 others in my family) are going on the May 19th Disney Wonder and want to know after you board the ship and make reservations at Palo's and eat can you go swimming while the ship is docked?
I remember when I was a little girl we had to wait until the ship was out to sea to fill the pool. I hope this isn't the case. Also, what is a good time to get to the port, when do they let you board? Oh can someone please explain the types of kids clubs they have on board. I would like to keep the two of them together if possible.

DCL pools are fresh water and they are waiting for your enjoyment from the moment you board. After the first guest enters the pool, all bets on the "fresh" part is off.

The pools do close at 3:30 on embarkation day because EVERYONE must report to the MANDITORY safety drill. The Goofy pool won't reopen until after the sail away party.

While sailing the pools will be closed late at night and won't open until the morning. You can tell from your stateroom when the pool is available - the water temperature of the pool will be different than the air temperature. When they are the same, it USUALLY means the pool is drained.

You should be able to swim in the Mickey pool, not sure if you cand swim in the Goofy pool because that is where they hold the embarktion party. The terminal opens around 10:30 am & boading begins around noon.

They have 4 kids clubs on board, Flounders for 12 weeks to 3 years, Oceaneers club 3 - 7 year olds, and Oceaneers lab 8 - 12 years old, and teen activities for 13-17 year olds.

Hi Princess1 Im sorry to crash your post but so excited to see someone else who is cruising on May 19th on the Wonder.
We will be there with our 2 DD'S 8&9 look forward to sssing you all there.

We are planning on getting to the port quite early, this is due to us wanting to make the most of our time, i believe the terminal is really nice and there are t.vs etc for the kids and things to look at, I also believe they are now registering kids for the clubs prior to boarding( if you want to that is )
We reckon the sooner we can board the more time we can have to explore and have fun
Take care
