Swimming in November?

Hello all~ I've been "spying" on the boards for awhile now and would like to post my first official question

My family and I are going to Disney in November. I haven't been to Disney since the 80's and my husband hasn't been there since the 70's (yes, long time coming). Anyway, do you think we'll be comfortable swimming at that time of year? I'm sure the weather will feel very warm since we'll be coming from NJ, but I don't want anyone getting sick on vacation. Also, do the hotels offer free pool towels (we're staying at the Wilderness Lodge)? I seem to remember reading that somewhere but can't find it now, and I'd hate to have to pack 4 huge beach towels in our suitcase if it's not necessary.

It really all depends on your tolerance for cool-to-chiily air when you get out of the pool. You probably won't feel it while you are swimming, it's when you come out!

most of the pools are heated. I wouldn't probably go swimming but kids seem to be a lot more immune to cold than adults.

It is hit and miss...I go each year during early November...In the afternoons, it is almost always warm enough to swim, in my opinion. In the morning and evening, when we are actually at the resort, it is a bit chilly for my personal taste. But the water is heated and you will ALWAYS see some kids in there- they don't seem to care if they freeze their hiney's off when they get out of the heated water!!

PS - Many resorts have hot tubs, and that is alway great after a long day in the parks!!!!

We went over Thanksgiving '04 and my husband and the kids went swimming in the evening after the parks. I thought it was too cold but there is no telling the kids that. DH said the water was fine, the air was chilly though.

We went in Nov of last year and it was hot! We didn't swim, due to lack of time, but probably could have at least during the day. I can imagine it might be chilly at night....
